Activision’s Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, unlike other versions, lacks the ability for players to download new song additions, but according to a customer support letter, the feature is still planned to be integrated in the future.
“Downloadable content for the Wii is something we are working very hard on getting in place for the new year,” stated Red Octane. “There is no definite timetable in place but we are hoping it will be soon.”
Prior to the game’s release, Activision said it was “working with Nintendo to see how we can get those features in,” and it’s believed the storage has been one of the main barriers.
