The Nintendo news at this year’s E3 continues to be released at a rapid pace. The following news piece is an update on: an upcoming DS title, new Zelda and Pikmin titles have been confimed, and lastly, more details on Animal Crossing: City Folk, from the one and only Katsuya Eguchi.

Rhythm Heaven DS

A sequel to the original GBA title Rhythm Tengoku Gold, Rhythm Heaven DS is about to improve on the previous title, all thanks to the assistance of the Nintendo DS’s built in touch screen. The key features released at E3 on the upcoming DS title noted that anyone who could tap in time to a beat would have no problems with Rhythm Heaven DS. The simplicity of Rhythm Heaven DS creates highly addictive game play. Rhythm Heaven DS will require players to hold the DS on its side and tap in time with the beat. With music being a main focus in Rhythm Heaven, the developer Nintendo and co-developer TNX have hired Japanese music producer TSUNKU to compose music for the DS version. A release date is yet to be announced.

New Zelda and Pikmin titles confirmed

Shigeru Miyamoto this week during a various number of interviews and round table sessions at E3, has revealed both new Zelda and Pikmin titles are in development. Miyamoto went on to reveal that the upcoming Zelda will receive changes previously unseen before in the Zelda series, and that the new Pikmin title would suit the Nintendo Wii the best.

Eguchi unveils new details about Animal Crossing: City Folk

Katsuya Eguchi creator of the Animal Crossing series has released two new details on the upcoming title Animal Crossing: City Folk. The first piece of information was, Animal Crossing: Wild world save files will be able to be uploaded to Animal Crossing: City Folk. This will enable player’s items to be transferred over to the Wii version with the press of a button, provided they have access to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Eguchi’s final new detail was about WiiConnect24, and its integration with AC:CF. Eguchi commented that WiiConnect24 will allow Nintendo to send new Animal Crossing items to players worldwide.
