Details about the new Zelda title were thin on the ground at E3 this year, but during a roundtable discussion with developer Shigeru Miyamoto, some small details began to emerge about the title, currently slated for a 2010 release.
Along with a picture showing Link in his adult form, Miyamoto also revealed that the game will take advantage of the new Wii MotionPlus peripheral.
Wii MotionPlus is an expansion device that will slot into the bottom of your existing Wii Remote. The attachment is designed to supplement the motion-sensing capabilities of the Wii Remote, enabling it to capture a more complex range of movements.
Not only will the new Zelda title make use of this new peripheral but may, in fact, require it, according to Miyamoto. If so, this will be the second Zelda title to require the use of a new accessory since Majora’s Mask required the use of the Nintendo 64 Expansion Pak, way back in the year 2000.
