Pokémon Scramble is set to get Pokémon battling each other in a whole new way.
Hitting the Japanese WiiWare service in two weeks is Pokémon Scramble, and from what we can tell it’s the equivalent of a Pokémon ‘Hack ‘n’ Slash’.
However, instead of real Pokémon you’re fighting with Pokémon toys. The game has you winding up your Pokémon toy as you put them into a “Battle Royale”.
But before you can fight you’ll need to train in the wild during real time battles much like an action RPG, rather than the more static fights of the main Pokémon series. The game is controlled solely with the Wiimote, moving the Pokémon with the D-Pad and attacking with one of two Pokémon moves. The game has been developed by Ambrella, who haven’t had a great track record with Pokémon spin off games, but let’s hope this interesting concept will be different.
The game will be available for 1500 Wii Points and supports up to four players. We’ll probably see this down our way at some point, so stay tuned for more info.

For a WiiWare title the visuals look quite good. Hopefully the gameplay is just as impressive.
This looks like it could be very, very addictive.
