darksidechroniclesAnyone who has an itch that can’t be scratched by anything less than a full-blown Biohazard should be pleased to know that the placeholder release date for Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles has been moved forward according to US retailer, Gamestop.

Previously scheduled for next year, Gamestop has updated the US release date for the title to November 17th, which means that Wii owners might get a chance to headshot zombies sooner than expected.

Darkside Chronicles is an on-a-rails shooter and the sequel to 2007’s Umbrella Chronicles. Set to feature settings and events from previous Resident Evil games, including Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil – Code: Veronica, Darkside Chronicles will also shed new light on previously unseen aspects of the franchise’s history through a number of completely new scenes.

Despite the apparent change of the US release date, it’s still uncertain when exactly Australian gamers will get a chance to experience the Darkside Chronicles for themselves.
