factor5Most of us thought we’d heard the last of developer Factor 5, who created the acclaimed Star Wars: Rogue Squadron series of games for the N64 and GameCube, when it was revealed earlier this year that the U.S. branch of the company had been forced to close it doors.

Now though, through the power of social networking, it has been revealed that the German branch of Factor 5 appear to still be creating games for the Wii.

According to the LinkedIn profile of Achim Moller, the CEO of Factor 5 Germany, multiple Wii games are still being made by the company and are set for a 2009 release.

Expecting any new Factor 5 games to actually release before the end of the year might be a little optimistic, but the fact that the company is still producing games should be good news for gamers everywhere.
