Electronic Arts has revealed plans to release both the Wii and DS spin-offs of the life-sim, Spore, in the U.S. by October of this year.
The Wii version of the so-called “massively single-player” game by Maxis (the company responsible for The Sims) is titled “Spore Hero” and has an larger focus on evolution when compared to the PC version. So far, details on the game are scarce, but it is known that it has been designed specifically to take advantage of the Wii controls and will feature elements of “adventure” gaming.
The DS version of the title is set to be called “Spore Hero Arena”.
With so few details currently in circulation it should come as no surprise that there’s no word of an Australian release date for either game as of yet.
