Well, of course people wouldn’t be as impressed because historically, the vast majority of gamers have been male— (up until the last few years)—therefore; you’re still somewhat seen as an aberration from the society norm. And if you really want to be honest, you wouldn’t get the same publicity if you weren’t beautiful, either. Lets face it; we live in a culture where looks matter in the sports media industry, and if you’re good-looking female who is really skilled at something typically dominated by males; then the media loves to exploit you.
