It has been revealed Nintendo re-registered the trademark for the GameCube title Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem in North America on February 10, 2010.

Developed by Silicon Knights, the survival horror game was released in 2002 and became one of the first mature titles on the GameCube.

The reason the trademark has been renewed is unknown at this point in time, but many are speculating that the title is about to return either in sequel form or as a New Play Control Wii-make.
