Nintendo are giving Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum owners the chance to receive a Shiny Pichu until March 25th.

The Shiny Pichu is a deep yellow colour and has bright red cheeks like its evolved form, Pikachu.

To obtain this rare and exclusive Pichu, players will have to link up to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and follow these steps:

  1. Talk to the TV producer on the third floor of Jubilife TV in Jubilife City.
  2. Answer his questions with these words:                                                                                                                                                  Opinion on TV: Everyone Happy                                                                                                                                                           Feedback on TV: Wi-Fi Connection
  3. Then save your game and restart your Nintendo DS system.
  4. If “Mystery Gift” appears on the main menu, you’ve succeeded! Select “Mystery Gift” to get started.
  5. Select “Receive Gift”.
  6.  After you select “Receive Gift” select get “Get via Nintendo WFC” and choose “Yes”.
  7. Watch as you receive Pichu!
  8. Go to any Poké Mart and talk to the delivery man in green standing in front of the counter. He will give you Pichu. Make sure you have at least one open slot in your party for Pichu.
  9. The final step is to save your game. This is very important, so don’t forget!  

The main reason players should get their hands on this rare Pichu is because it will unlock many secrets if it is transferred to Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver.  

If the Pichu is transferred across to HeartGold or SoulSilver players must take it to Ilex Forest to meet the spiky-eared Pichu (a Pokémon who features in Arceus the Jewel of life) and then something wonderful will happen.
