Nintendo has announced a price drop for the Nintendo Wii. From 29 April, the Wii will be available for only SRP $AU299.95* ($NZ399.95 SRP). This is the first price drop for the Wii we have seen in Australia and New Zealand. Previously the Wii was SRP $AU399.95 ($NZ499.95). Both the white Wii and the recently released black Wii will be available.
This should come as good news for anyone out there that is yet to purchase a Wii or those who need a little extra convincing.
I’ve chatted to one mate who can now afford the console. Expect sales to go way up all over the globe. Will it be enough to kill the momentum of the Xbox 360 and PS3 before the release of Natal and Playstation Move? Only time will tell.
