Dead or Alive: Dimensions for Nintendo 3DS has been reclassified by the Australian Classification Board.
The fifteenth game in the series was sold as a PG title for almost two weeks within Australia until negative press regarding the game’s photo mode forced the ACB to revoke the rating and remove it from shelves.
Prior to the game’s distribution duties being taken over by Nintendo, Dimensions was sent for classification by THQ. Original reports from retail outlets said Nintendo was aiming for an MA15+ rating. However, Nintendo then denied this, distanced themselves from THQ and sent Dimensions back to the ACB to be reclassified.
The new M for mature rating states Dead or Alive: Dimensions contains, “violence and sexualised gameplay”. It also mentions content may change in the online section of the game.
Dead or Alive: Dimensions will be back on Australian shelves soon.

Update – 4 July 2011: Dead or Alive: Dimensions is now on sale in Australia again.
