Star Fox 64 3D release date announced

Category: 3DS News

Nintendo’s much awaited 3DS remake, Star Fox 64 3D, will be hitting our shores September 15. It will retail for $69.95 in Australia and $99.95 in New Zealand. In related news, I am really glad I don’t live in New Zealand. You have my sympathy, neighbours.

Star Fox 64 3D, as you can probably assume, is the 3DS remake of arguably the best Star Fox game ever, Star Fox 64, originally released in Australia as Lylat Wars on the Nintendo 64. The 3DS version will be receiving a graphical improvement, similar to the recently released 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time.

Square Enix have announced a brand new spin-off of it’s well loved Final Fantasy series, Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. No, I’m not sure how to pronounce that either. The name is a portmanteau of ‘theatre’ and ‘rhythm’, so maybe that gives us an idea about how to say it. As you may have guessed from this, the game is touted as a ‘theatre rhythm’ game.

The announcement comes via a one page article in Shonen Jump magazine and as such, details are a little thin on the ground. Continue Reading…
