Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is the third installment in the Golden Sun series and the first to appear on the DS. The original Golden Sun games, both released on the GBA, are highly respected and often considered to be two of the best JRPG’s for the console. To keep you busy while you wait for Dark Dawns release, it’s recommended that you check out the original two games, as the story for Dark Dawn picks up 30 years after the events of the first two games. As such, you can expect Dark Dawn to feature plenty of references to the first two games. Plus, they’re just awesome games in their own right.

Camelot’s highly anticipated DS title is the sequel to the smash hit GBA games; Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Ages.

The new Golden Sun title for the Nintendo DS will be released in America by November, in Europe by December and hopefully in Australia shortly after.

The DS version of the game will feature all new achievements, four brand new mini-games and a 2-player versus mode that allows players to challenge their friends as either plants or zombies.

From September 23, Australians will be able to purchase the DSi XL in yellow, red and blue. The original burgandy and bronze colours will still be available.

Nintendo has announced the new feature as ‘Live Caster’ and also revealed that it won’t be accessible until players obtain it as an item in their copies of Pokémon Black and White. Live Caster will allow two ‘friends’ to video chat to each other over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and four buddies to video chat with one another through a local wireless connection.

If anything, this new Live Caster feature will probably just make it easier for pedos, or should I say Poképedos, to contact children. Or on the other hand it could possibly become the next online dating system. Think about it all of you 30 year old male Pokémon fans. You could finally meet that cute, fun-loving, Pokémon-obsessed Jap girl that you’ve always dreamed of.

Maybe I’ve put too much thought into this whole Live Caster feature. So I’ll just conclude here by saying that the future of Pokémon has finally arrived. It’s just an extra feature that will probably not enhance the actual gameplay of Pokémon in anyway.

With the assistance of the touch screen players now have the ability to write any object that comes to mind and modify it in any way they please. The new

Scribblenauts also allows players to combine multiple adjectives and produce highly creative objects such as a, Gentlemanly Red Raptor.

Super Scribblenauts will be released on the Nintendo DS in October 2010.

To get the wish Pokémon, simply bring your DS and any number of the games listed above to any Toys ‘R Us store and use the Mystery Gift in-game function. The Jirachi is at Level 5, has the attacks Wish, Confusion, Rest and Draco Meteor, and, when transferred to Pokémon HeartGold or SoulSilver versions, unlocks an exclusive Pokéwalker course, ‘Night Sky’s Edge’.

The game will be similar to Henry Hatsworth in that it features a combination of two previously separate game genres, this time platforming and pet-simulation. Monster Tale will feature a platform game on the top-screen, that will see Ellie, Monster Tale’s heroine, traversing the environment collecting things for her pet monster Chomp. This is where the bottom-screen comes in, as this is where players take care of Chomp, who can be summoned to aid the player on the top-screen.

Monster Tale is being published by Majesco and has no known estimated release date at this stage.

This move is no doubt due to the release of the Nintendo DSiXL which will be in stores from today, April 15 2010. The DSiXL features two larger screens and an improved battery life. The DSiXL will be available in two colours: Burgandy and Bronze. It will also come with bonus pre-installed software. Beyond this, all hardware is identical to the regular DSi.

The images of the fifth generation Pokémon games are taken from the latest issue of CoroCoro in the form of a low quality snapshot.

Judging by the photo, it looks like Pokémon Black and White will use the same 3D engine as the one featured in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.

The screens below show the overworld and battle camera perspectives have been changed from a bird’s-eye to landscape view.

The text around the images in the latest issue of CoroCoro also mentioned that the protagonist would be able to ride a new vehicle.
