Pink blob heading to Wii and DS later this year

It’s just been revealed Nintendo subsidiary HAL Laboratory will be releasing two new Kirby games later this year. Kirby Wii, and Kirby Mass Attack for the DS.

The first game, currently being referred to as Kirby Wii, is basically the Kirby equivalent of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Nintendo shares plummet

Bloomberg has reported that Nintendo shares have dropped to their lowest levels in five years after their E3 conference. Nintendo shares saw a drop of 7.5% to ¥16,610 (approximately $190). Analysts are pointing the finger of blame to the Wii U for the sudden drop, believing that investors are lacking the confidence in Nintendo’s future.

Project Cafe Confirmed

So the rumours are true. Well, some of them anyway. According to Eurogamer, Nintendo released a note alongside it’s 2011 financial statement that confirms that Project Cafe is indeed real and scheduled to be released in 2012. Also confirmed are plans to show a playable version of the console at this years E3.

Alleged confirmation of a new Nintendo Console

Game Informer are claiming that multiple sources have confirmed that Nintendo will be unveiling a successor to the Wii will be shown at E3 later this year, or possibly sooner.

Allegedly the console will be capable of running games in HD, but there are conflicting reports regarding the power of the console. Beyond this, nothing else is known of the console. This means we have until E3 kicks off on June 7 to put on our tin-foil hats and speculate our little hearts away.

Pokemon Black and White Battle Competition

It’s time to put all of those hours glued to your DS playing Pokemon to good use. Nintendo are touring Australia with the Pokemon Black and White Battle Competition. The competition will be coming to Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane and Perth. 128 people will be able to enter each State competition, with entrants determined on the day simply by who gets there first.
