Good news for Wii-owning fans of everyone’s favourtie limbless hero, Rayman. Ubisoft have officially confirmed that it’s forthcoming platformer, Rayman Origins, will be coming to the Wii. Rayman Origins was originally planned to be only available via the Xbox 360 Live Arcade and the Playstation Network, but after several retailers leaked box art for the game, Ubisoft confirmed that the it was indeed headed to retail and on the Wii to boot.

Fans of mostly useless pink balls rejoice! Nintendo have announced a new Kirby game for Wii. So far details are thin on the ground, but it looks to be a return to the typical 2D Kirby gameplay style and traditional Kirby visuals that we all know and tolerate. It’s being developed by HAL Laboratories, which makes sense seeing as they’ve been behind most major Kirby titles.

Nintendo of Australia have announced that a limited edition Red Wii bundle will indeed be heading our way to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Mario. Not only will the bundle contain the limited edition red Wii, but also the new Wii Remote Plus, which is essentially a Wii Remote with the Wii Motion Plus add-on already built into the controller. On top of this, the Wii will also have the 25th Anniversary Edition of Super Mario Bros pre-installed. Now this one’s quite special as Australia will be the only region outside Japan that will get this game.
The latest issue of Nintendo Power has revealed some new details on Donkey Kong Country Returns. Chief among these for Donkey Kong fans is the return of Cranky Kong, the bitter old ape first introduced in the original Donkey Kong Country. It was also revealed that Cranky will be the only returning Kong, besides Donkey and Diddy of course. This means no Dixie, Funky or all those weird Kongs from Donkey Kong 64 that no one really cares about anyway.
