Now, thanks to an Amazon Japan listing (which has since been removed), we can confirm that the Super Mario Collection will indeed be a Wii port of Super Mario All-stars, the SNES compilation comprised of Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3 and The Lost Levels. Also included in the package is a 25 page booklet covering the history of the Mario series, plus a CD soundtrack featuring songs from the past 25 years of Mario games. So far the package is Japan only, with no details as to whether it will be released elsewhere. There are also no details of what Nintendo might be doing (or if they are doing anything at all) for the 25th Anniversary in the rest of the world.

As the name suggests, it is essentially a graphics tablet for the Wii, allowing players to draw on it’s surface using a large stylus. The stylus is tethered to the tablet, which features a 9 x 7 inch drawing surface plus a slot to place a Wii Remote.

The uDraw GameTablet will be bundled with uDraw Studio, a drawing suite that promises to be quite intuitive and kid-friendly. THQ have also announced two other uDraw GameTablet games, Pictionary and Dood’s Big Adventure. Pictionary is fairly self-explanatory to anyone that has played the famous pen and paper game. Dood’s Big Adventure is a platformer that requires the player to draw as well as tilt the tablet.

Sonic Colours will be hitting stores November 11 for both the Wii and DS.

Sonic Colours is the latest effort from Sonic Team.
Create will be powered by players’ imaginations and reward those who are able to construct outstandingly creative creations.

VP and General Manager of EA Bright Light, Harvey Elliot said Create will be fun and challenging for families.

“We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination.”

The more Create is played, the more rewarding the experience will be for the player. Those who take time to explore the game, solve all the level-based challenges and customise the in-game worlds will unlock many rewards and master the already easy-to-use control system even quicker.

The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC and MAC version of the game will also allow players to share their creations, solutions and challenges with the Create community. On top of this, players who own these particular versions of the game will also be able to download and remix solutions or set new challenges for their friends.

Electronic Art’s Create will be released November, 2010.

Although Nintendo Australia may have said earlier in the year that “Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is not currently on Australia and New Zealand’s release schedule”, it has been revealed, as spotted by Vooks, that JB Hifi will be stocking the game. It will be exclusive to JB Hifi and will only be available from a limited number of stores. Not only that, but the game will be shipping out today. This means that if you want to grab a copy you’re going to need to be quick about it.

For those who do not know, Sin and Punishment: Star Successor is a rail shooter, full of intense, high-score chasing action. It is a follow-up to the original N64 game, which itself never saw release outside of Japan until later release on the Wii Virtual Console. The original was quite a good game and gathered something of a cult following and most critics seem to agree that the sequel is equally good.

So here it is:

GoldenEye for Nintendo 64 was a game that defined a genre. Now, after 13 years of gaming innovation, the legend is re-imagined. Developed from the ground up for the Wii, GoldenEye takes advantage of the latest technology to deliver the same intense experience with today’s graphics and physics. Play a modernized version of the classic story with the new Bond (Daniel Craig), more lethal and cunning than ever as you take on missions around the world. Relive all the legendary moments from the original game; St Petersburg, the Caribbean and numerous other levels. Leverage the classic arsenal of weapons and gadgets as you fight Onatopp, Trevelyan and their adversaries, from the classic PP7 to the high tech assault rifle, sniper rifles and even the tank. The enhanced multiplayer experience offers 4 player split screen like the original and introduces 8-player online matches. GoldenEye is 13 years better, are you?

Also, make sure you check out TNB’s E3 thread over the next few days.

Nintendo of Australia have finally revealed a local release date for the much anticipated Super Mario Galaxy 2. Aussie gamers will be able to purchase Super Mario Galaxy 2 locally from 1 July 2010.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 promises several new additions to the formula of the original game. First up, there are some new power-ups for Mario to use, including a drill that allows Mario to tunnel through planets and also a boulder mushroom that gives Mario a boulder suit. This lets Mario ram into objects and enemies.

One of the more anticipated new additions is Yoshi. His abscence from the original Super Mario Galaxy disappointed many fans, so it’s nice to see him make a comeback. When Mario finds a Yoshi egg, he can smash it open and ride on Yoshis back. Yoshi can use his tongue to swing across chasms or grab items and shoot them back at enemies. Some of the items that Yoshi eats can other effects such as the Dash Pepper that allows Yoshi to run up steep inclines and vertical walls and the Blimp Fruit which causes Yoshi to inflate like a balloon and floats to new heights.

Super Mario Galaxy 2 will also come packaged with a DVD that promises to provide hints and tips for both beginner players and also skilled players. Hopefully there’ll be nothing as condescending as the now infamous intro video to Wii Sports Resort.
