When a new Mario game is announced people expect things. Why? Because Mario games are titles that redefine the way people think about games, make games and play games. When New Super Mario Bros. Wii was announced things were no different. Once again, people expected Nintendo’s latest Mario title to revolutionise the way we play. So the question I’ll be answering is whether NSMB Wii has, or has not, revolutionised the way games are played, and in particular, if it has somehow redefined the 2D platforming genre. You might find this hard to believe, but Cursed Mountain is a survival horror game that doesn’t (well almost doesn’t) feature huge monsters, blood-dripping werewolves or terrifying zombies. The only consistent lot of enemies in this game are ghosts. Combine these ghosts with a mountain and Tibetan-Buddhism, and you’ve got yourself a rather unique survival horror game. So to find out if this unique game is as gloomy as a ghost or as rewarding as Tibetan-Buddhism, read on! 
It’s a big time of year for football (soccer) fans. Leagues all over the world are getting stuck into new seasons, and the latest wave of football videogames is released to coincide with this. FIFA ’10 has been released and Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is coming soon, but Ubisoft clearly didn’t want to be left out and have released their own game, entitled Academy of Champions. Is it a top-flight contender, or ready for relegation? 
Simply saying ‘this is a baseball game on Wii’ should be enough information for people to know what this game essentially is about, so I’ll keep this review rather brief. The Bigs 2 is 2K Sports’ latest baseball game, and the Wii version incorporates typical motion-controlled tomfoolery at the price of graphical prowess and online gameplay.
The boy who lived is back and, funnily enough, it seems he is still living despite many close calls. Of course, I am talking about the one and only, Harry Potter. You know, the boy with the magical scar on his forehead and the circular glasses on the end of his nose. No doubt every Potter fan has fantasised about hands-on interaction with Harry’s wand in the past, and now Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Electronic Arts have made it a reality thanks to the assistance of the Wii Remote. 
Let me start by saying I liked the latest Indy movie. Turn your brain off, and it’s a lot of fun. Controversy! Anyway, Staff of Kings is an all new Indy adventure for the Wii, but unfortunately it falls into many of the same traps as a lot of Wii games. 
At one point during this month I actually got a little bit worried. Why? Because I had not received the latest title from EA’s MySims series. I wondered if PrattP had finally decided to stop sending me games or if EA had finally thrown in the towel and given up, but once again they both managed to prove me wrong. 
Since his first comic book appearance in 1974, Wolverine has achieved a rise in popularity that none of his X-Men counterparts could hope to compete with. Fresh on the heels of the latest film adaptation based on the origins of the clawed mutant, games based on the movie have landed on almost every platform known to mankind.
