Nintendo’s Wii recently broke the 200,000 units sold mark Down Under, and it was the fastest console to do so. GfK games analyst, Andrew Milgate, said that if Nintendo can keep the momentum up, Wii will become the fastest-selling console of all time.

Activision’s Wii version of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, unlike other versions, lacks the ability for players to download new song additions, but according to a customer support letter, the feature is still planned to be integrated in the future.
“Downloadable content for the Wii is something we are working very hard on getting in place for the new year,” stated Red Octane. “There is no definite timetable in place but we are hoping it will be soon.”
Prior to the game’s release, Activision said it was “working with Nintendo to see how we can get those features in,” and it’s believed the storage has been one of the main barriers.

Activision and Vivendi have today announced that they’ve entered into an agreement that will see Vivendi Games - which includes Blizzard Entertainment - combine with Activision, resulting in the creation of “the world’s largest pure-play online and console game publisher,” called Activision Blizzard. Pokémon Snap will be the next Nintendo 64 game to hit the Virtual Console service, Nintendo’s updated Japanese release schedule has confirmed, although its December 4th launch date and 1000-point price aren’t the most revealing of details. Screen and info on exactly what inside.
The game, interestingly, will be the first Virtual Console addition to include an exclusive, Wii-specific upgrade, with Nintendo having gone to the extra effort to allow players to send their in-game photographs to the Wii Message Board for sharing with friends via WiiConnect24.
