Nintendo unveil Wii MotionPlus
With less than 24 hours to go till their press conference, Nintendo have already released details about a new accessory titled as ‘Wii MotionPlus’ for the Wii Remote.
The latest peripheral simply connects to the base of the Wii Remote, interacting with the remote’s accelerometer and the Wii’s sensor bar.
Nintendo stated that Wii MotionPlus “allows for more comprehensive tracking of a player’s arm position and orientation, providing players with an unmatched level of precision and immersion.”
Nintendo also claim that even the slightest wrist movements are now recreated identically onscreen in real time. This creates a 1:1 response in game play.
More details about Wii MotionPlus will be revealed by Nintendo at their E3 media briefing.
