For those of you that missed the Target/Toys ‘R’ Us event, an online event to obtain Darkrai is available over Ranger Net in Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. An end date has not yet been announced.
The mission “Liberate The Tower“, will see you infiltrate Altru Tower which has been taken over by a group of thugs. All is not as it seems however, and a dark shadow has been seen floating around the tower. The player and Keith are sent to investigate the disturbance. The mission can be downloaded at any time from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, however it can only be played after the game has been beaten.
Completion of the mission allows you to transfer the legendary event Pokemon Darkrai over to your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl game via Mystery Gift and Ranger Net. The Darkrai is at Level 50.

On its release day the second game in the Pokemon Ranger series will have two special missions that can be downloaded from the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. After downloaded conditions in-game must be met before undertaking the missions.
Completing the two missions “Recover the Manaphy Egg!” and “Rescue Kidnapped Riolu!” will allow you to transfer a Manaphy Egg and a Special Riolu over to your Pokemon Diamond/Pearl respectively.
The missions will be available for a limited time from the game’s release on the 13th of November.
Target and Toys R Us stores across the country will be taking part in the distribution of the limited edition Pokémon Darkrai. This occurrence is possibly due to the poll held by Nintendo Australia last year, many fans voted they were unable to reach a JB Hi-Fi store therefore couldn’t download Manaphy. It seems Nintendo has listened to the people and don’t want the same result this time around.
Darkrai will sport the following stats:

PokéBall: Cherish Ball
Item: Enigma Berry
Ribbon: Classic
Attacks: Roar of Time, Spacial Rend, Nightmare and Hypnosis
To get Darkrai for yourself simply take your Nintendo DS and either a copy of Pokémon Diamond or Pearl to any Target store across the country between Thursday October 30th and Sunday November 9th and select the Mystery Gift function.
