SEGA supporting Madworld Oz release

Tag: Wii NewsPrattP @ 6:16 pm

SEGA Australia has today stated that, despite reports, it still intends on releasing Madworld here in Australia. This, of course, will still rely on the Australia Classification Board, but SEGA is going to try.

The company has said in a statement sent to us today that “We believe Madworld will be an asset to the industry and will do what we can to support its release in our territory.” So Aussie Wii owners, SEGA is still going to try and get the game here… but whether it will or will not be edited - and how extensive the censorship may be - is unknown at this point in time.

Aussie Brawl release date confirmed!

Tag: Nintendo NewsPrattP @ 5:14 pm

Whilst Nintendo is yet to acknowledge the news “officially”, we are able to confirm through our usual ’sources’ (so we’re 99.9% sure) the release date for Super Smash Bros Brawl in Australia.

The release date is set for June 26th, one day before Europe. This means Brawl has finally gotten its release date 60 days after the launch of the game in the US, and by the time the game actually gets here, it will have been a 3 month, 18 day delay.

So some definitely awesome news for Nintendo fans Australia wide!

CHANGE: Nintendo Australia today (14/5/08) have officially announced the Aussie Brawl release date. Confirming our above information, Brawl will be released down under on the 26th of June. Of course, in the Press Release, no sign of any apology was apparent due to the delay, but at least they have set the date in stone.
