This week’s WiiWare releases

This week the Wii Shop Channel has received four WiiWare titles.

First up is a title called Art Style: ROTOHEX, a remake of the game Dialhex which is available for 600 Wii Points.

The second WiiWare title to be released this week is Bang!. Bang! utilises the Wii’s motion sensor capabilities, and is also available for 600 Wii Points.

Next up is Pit Crew Panic!, a title by Hudson Soft which involves players moving six pit crew girls around with the Wii Remote in order to repair broken vehicle parts. The game features a training mode and also allows players to customise game settings. Pit Crew Panic! is available for 500 Wii Points.

Last, but not least, is Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People – Episode 4: Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective. The game, based on the popular flash animated web cartoon, takes place within a video cassette of the fictional movie: Dangeresque 3. The title is available for 1000 Wii Points.

A Crushing Invasion of WiiWare!

The latest WiiWare releases are here with the much anticipated release of “Space Invaders Get Even”, “Alien Crush Returns” and “Brain Challenge”.

Developed by Taito, “Space Invaders Get Even” is just what the title implies, you control Space Invaders and you attack Earth. This title will set you back 500 Wii Points and 500 for each of its three expansions.

“Alien Crush Returns” is the stunning Wii-make of “Alien Crush” (available on Virtual Console for 600 points). The game is a widely loved pinball game with an Alien theme. The price of this game with its new graphics and features will set you back 800 points.

Finally “Brain Challenge” is a game similar to Brain Training where you undertake a series of mental exercises to improve your brain. It game will set you back 1000 Wii Points.

Nintendo’s good deed

GAF poster MiketheBSG has had more than $26,000 of electronic items stolen from his home. Nintendo has assisted the man by restoring 228 Virtual Console and 30 WiiWare games to his new Wii.

MiketheBSG said, By the way, Nintendo, if you don’t know yet, has the greatest customer service ever.”

Nintendo’s support in this situation has proven once again that their customer service is top quality.

Nintendo Points not interchangeable

With the DSi on the horizon, bringing with it DSWare, Nintendo needed a way to sell it. Just like the Wii with Wii Points, the DSi will have DSi Points - and to encompass this, nintendo will be introducing Nintendo Points cards. Same principle and now the same card - but will you be able to transfer points between the Wii and DS? Unfortunately, no.
