Gameplay details revealed for Kid Icarus: Uprising

Category: 3DS News

The September 2010 issue of Nintendo Power magazine has revealed some interesting new details about the 3DS’s flagship title, Kid Icarus: Uprising.

Game creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed that each stage will be split into three sections: a flying section, a ground section, and a boss battle. The flying sections last for five minutes each and are highly choreographed, with events and music changes being timed in a very deliberate fashion. Ground sections, on the other hand, have no time limit. Continue Reading…

NOSTALGIC EYES: Pop Up

Category: Features

Platform: Game Boy
Developer: Infogrames

When I first heard the name of this game, I thought it involved making virtual pop-up books. While I wouldn’t be surprised if something like that appeared on the 3DS in the near future, this game was nothing like that. It was a puzzle game where you play as a time-traveling ball. Continue Reading…

AVCon 2010 in Adelaide

Category: Features

After being embarrassed by a group of mates dressed up as Naruto characters in a MacDonald’s, something in the air told me it was that time of year again. AVCon, Adelaide’s Anime and Video games Convention, had come again, and this time I was slightly more prepared, and in a much bigger group. Well, five is bigger than two. It was very similar to the convention last year, and, as such, was still a very enjoyable day.
