Hits of 2010 arriving much sooner than expected

Nintendo Australia has today confirmed that the most anticipated titles of 2010 will be coming to the Wii much sooner than originally expected.

New Nintendo-published titles coming to Oz

It has been revealed Nintendo will be releasing Samurai Warriors 3 and a few other weird and wonderful games in Australia sometime later this year.

Epic Mickey multi-platform release possible

Disney executives Graham Hopper and Steve Wadsworth have recently talked about the upcoming Wii game, Epic Mickey, in an interview with Gamasutra at the DICE 2010 Summit.

Hopper said Epic Mickey’s core ink-and-paint gameplay mechanics went hand in hand with the Wii’s motion control system, and mentioned how the announcement of Project Natal and Sony’s new motion controller made it possible for the game to be released on other platforms in the future. R4 flash cartridge now illegal in Australia

Yesterday the Federal Court of Australia ordered a local R4 flash cartridge distributor to pay Nintendo more than $500,000 in fines.

Eternal Darkness trademark renewed

It has been revealed Nintendo re-registered the trademark for the GameCube title Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem in North America on February 10, 2010.

Developed by Silicon Knights, the survival horror game was released in 2002 and became one of the first mature titles on the GameCube.
