Text Box: Tamagotchi Connexion: Corner Shop 2 (DS)

Are YOU ready for a shopping wonderland experience? If so, sharpen your sushi knife, put on your stethoscope and come on down to the Tama Mall!
Tamagotchi Connexion: Corner Shop 2 is the second release for the Nintendo DS based again on our little Tamagotchi friends. This time around, you will be joining Memetchi, Mametchi, and Kuchipatchi purchase, open, and successfully run a variety of different stores, including the likes of a flower shop, sushi bar and a drive-in mechanic just to name a few. The aim of the game is to serve as many customers as possible (100 different varieties of Tamagotchi), by completing mini games that fully utilise the touch-screen. After serving a decent amount of clients, the Princess of Tamatown will come into your store, and after successfully serving her, she will upgrade your shop so that it becomes bigger and adds a new feature to the mini game associated with the shop. Once you upgrade enough of your starter shops, new shops are unlocked, and can now be purchased with the “Gotchi Points” (Tamatown currency) you have earned. And so the cycle continues…
TCCS2 has a unique style of 2D graphics, which are almost flawless and add to the overall “cuteness” factor of the game. So I can guarantee this game will be an instant hit with younger siblings, however the lasting appeal of the game for more seasoned gamers does not sufficiently satisfy.

What you said about Tamagotchi Connexion CS 2

By Joshua on Wednesday, 9/10:

Fully agree with this one. In my opinion it's a very gimmicky game that has no lasting appeal.

I actually kind of enjoy this game but there are so many other things to choose from, so now it's kinda like "Why bother?"

In my opinion, why would developers in their right mind bother to bring out a sequel!? I know it has probably been a cash cow to them but wouldn't enjoying your job be more important? Making a dodgy game like this certainly wouldn't have been 'fun'.

The one thing I have to say to you Dylan is that money makes the world go round. :) In other words I think the main reason they work is to make money. Sorry but that's the truth.

I don't agree with what you're saying there, Jake. If you don't enjoy your job, then what's the point of doing it? As is said earlier, that game couldn't have been enjoyable to make. I don't know about you, but I enjoy my job, and I'm sure game developers do too.
